Hey Skaters! With spring just around the corner it's time to sharpen our skills! Here's some information on upcoming indoor skate events in Asheville!
- Free public indoor skating at the Warren Wilson College in the Bryson Gym! Organized by Gina with music from AVL Sk8! Looks like this event is happening most Sunday's 2 - 5pm. For more information follow AVL Sk8 here! This event is bring your own skates!
- AVL SK8 presents the indoor Skate Jam Clinic at the Linwood Crump Shiloh Community Center! Happening on the 2nd & 4th Fridays January - April 2024! Follow Avl Sk8 for more details here!

Our first project is our Skate Jam Clinic in the community center’s 2000 sq ft, weatherproof multipurpose room on the 2nd & 4th Fridays of January - April from 5pm-8pm. We envision these 8 sessions as a way for the commUNITY to have indoor space to come together, learn from each other, try new things and just have a good time skating during the winter months.
The first hour, 5pm-6pm, will be open to all ages. 6pm-8pm, you must be at least 16 years old to participate. All children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Because the space is limited, we have room for 30 folks to sign up. Registering ahead of time for either or both sessions each clinic reserves your place. Reservations are held for the first 15 minutes, after which they will become open to drop ins. You are welcome to drop in and register on site but are not guaranteed a spot. Rental skates will be available all 8 clinics for $3 per session. Otherwise, this program is free. And AVLsk8 will provide our musical special sauce!
